Apptastic Identifier

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to talk a little bit more about our identification app 'Picture this'. Specifically, the litany of tools it provides.

Picture: Based on a single picture, the app is able to ascertain a great deal of plant species.

360 Identify: Utilizing front, side, and side viewing angles you can more accurately ascertain the identification of a plant species.

Weed ID: Utilizing front, side, and side ascertain the kind of 'weed' you have in your garden.

Toxic ID: Same as above

Tree ID: Take multiple pictures of a tree to identify its strain. Specifically branches and leaves, close up image of bark in detail, and a full tree image for identification.

Bird ID: Capture of a picture of a bird to have the app identify it for you.

Insect ID: Capture a picture of an insect to have the app identify it for you.

Allergen ID: Capture a 360 image of a plant and determine what kind of allergen's it produces.

Diagnose: Utilizing full plant capture, affected part capture, and affected area from another angle, ascertain what the plant is having issues with, and how to help it recover.

My Garden: A collection where you can organize plants you have identified into categories, including your surrounding area and garden.

While this app can be used freely, it does only allow a certain number of identifications per day. The paid version of the app is 1/3 what you'd typically pay for Netflix, and even keeps your library, tips, and information on the plants.

Plant Care: Each plant, once identified, has a huge care sheet with information ranging from good temperatures, hardiness zones, what kind of sunlight they need, care profiles, etc. This is an app for the hobbyist, plant keeper, and the explorer as there are ways to schedule both waterings and fertilizers, just as you can make categories for plants you've seen in certain state parks.

Characteristics: When a plant is identified, it has several characteristics spaces between three columns of Matured, Flower, and Fruit listing physical, visual, and temporal information for each.

Basic Info: When a plant is identified, it has labels under a few categories. Those being Weed potential, Distribution, Plant Type, and Lifespan. Distribution is very useful for identifying if a plant is invasive or not.

Best yet, this is all in a very nice UI package that is clean and easy to interact with. My only complaint is that I wish I could geospatially map my plants within 'my garden' but I can see the difficulty in that being useful for every user.
